hello!
I just lost 3H of my day cause my mom wants serviio to work on her pc.
vista OS.
I updated windows, java serviio
"cannot connect to serviio server", "cannot connect to serviio server", "cannot connect to serviio server"!
uninstall it, reinstalled it, uninstalled it, rebooted, reinstalled it
"cannot connect to serviio server"
open both ports requiered on my firewall
"cannot connect to serviio server"
I went to check if the service was running. it's shown as started in the list but stopped in details
"cannot connect to serviio server"

error code 5, how to fix it, please?

Cannot connect because the service isn't running. The question is why. We need to see your log. It should be in c:\programs files\Serviio\log.

Has you tried manually assigning your network card in the Serviio console? Look on the Status tab down near the bottom. The box labeled Bound IP address is a drop down box. Click it and see if your "real" network connection is listed. If it's not, then for some reason Serviio can't see your network card.
