Cannot add files into Serviio library on my mac

Serviio had been working perfectly on my computer to my Samsung smart tv until I updated my mac. I read some suggestions in the forum and uninstalled Java 7, and replaced it with Java 6. Now serviio console opens (which it didn't before). The serviio icon bounces in the dock and then eventually says its not responding. When I go into the console to add movies to the library, all the files are grey and it won't let me add them.

I hope thats a decent explanation, I'm not super good with computers. Anybody experience something similar or think they can help me? Thanks!
