control playback from computer

I installed Serviio after discovering the Allshare functionality of Samsung TV and cell phone. Looking always for a universal solution I got Serviio.
I can't figure out though, how to get Serviio working just like Allshare did and maybe I expected too much.
With Allshare I could select a file on the phone and play it on the TV with only once having to accept the connection on the TV. All subsequent playback control was from the phone afterwards. When playback is stopped the TV switches back to the active channel.
Is this not standardized in DLNA? Can Serviio do this? Does it only work with Samsung?
If I open the Mediabrowser and play a file it plays on the computer, not the TV.
