DirecTV

When I select a movie to play on my DirecTV HD-DVR, it plays for about 1 minute, then starts stuttering.

Once I pause the movie for about 2 mins, then it plays fine for a while - requiring me to pause again for a couple of minutes, then it's fine for the rest of the movie.

Is there any way to tell the DirecTV profile to wait a couple of minutes before starting the stream? Or is there any way to alleviate this problem?
