Windows 8.1, shared directories on local drives.
Upgraded to 1.5.1 from 1.4: v1.4 worked fine; with 1.5.1, manually changed files are updated immediately, but recorded TV is not
- recorded TV means I record to an mgeg.TS file, then post-process with command-line Handbrake to convert to .mp4, all in the shared directories.

I saw the post about torrent files and the suggestion to not save in a shared directory, so I thought the same issue could be happening with the Handbrake conversions.

I added
-Dserviio.forceLibraryPoller=true
-Dserviio.libraryPollerFrequency=1
to ServiioService.exe.vmoptions as described in the wiki.

Now, serviio.log shows "Added repository 'D:\Videos' to delta scanner (POLLER)", but even manually added files are not being added; "Force Library Refresh" sill works.

What is going on?

The library adding mechanism has been reworked in 1.5. 1.4 was basically invoking forced scanner at a given interval, in 1.5 the process is much less CPU intensive and only looks for delta in the filesystem, based on system events. That mean some use cases, like saving files in shared folders might not work as before, because the system either keeps sending events as the file is being saved / converted, or doesn't send them as expected.

Thank-you for your replies. My log upload was not complete because of the file size upload limit. I will temporarily reduce my shared folders and try again when I get a chance.

Force POLLER is active but does nothing. All the options just like in this screenshot are enabled: http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=ser ... _explained

I do no use OS shared folder, just this: "\\nas\video" Serviio service is started with a user that has all the permissions. I have added a log, my server had downloaded a tv epiode at 8:02 this morgning but nothin is shown in the log files that a scan has started. The episode is not added in the libraby, only when i scan manualy.

So you download directly to a Serviio shared folder? That would explain why they don't appear - and we might have a solution in the beta group.

I'll add you to the beta group too, it'd be good if you could test 1.5.2 on your system when the beta is out.

It seems that the new serviio version 1.5 is not refreshing my media automatic anymore. With the latest version of 1.4 it seems to work fine.

I have added a few new tv series and a few hours later it is not in the serviio database. When I refresh the media with I push of the button it's ok.

I run Windows 2012 R2 server and serviio is running as service with the correct user.

Same problem here!
I download my files directly to local drives(I have 3 hdd).
The computer is rebooted but Serviio scan stopped after time.

OS: Windows 2008 R2
Serviio 1.5.1

I have 3 shared locations(3 hdd) + internet sources.
2 days after delete files Serviio still show deleted files in my shared folders.

Do you download directly to the Serviio shared folders? Or somewhere else and then move them to the shared folders? If the latter, can you try to manually copy a file to the shared folder and see it they get picked up?

The series are not downloading direcly into the serviio shared folder. The downloads are downloaded to a temp folder and will auto extract to this temp folder to. Afther extracting the files are automaticly removed to he serviio shared folder. This is a process handled by my download client (also running as service) and the files are moved to the serviio folder with a 3rd party tool (from my nas).

Thanks for adding me to the beta testers! :D

Can you remove all logs, restart the serviio server and add a new file again? These logs are not complete.

Again, the important info is missing from the server startup - as you left it for a few days, the early entries from the log get pushed out. Do the same again, please, start the server, wait 2 minutes, add a file and post the log then.

The serviio service has restarted on friday, on saterday and sunday there are files added but there are no showin in the serviio library, why would theye appear in the log? If they would appear in the log file they also should appear in the library, right? I will restart the service again en will directly download a file with the download client. I`m sure there is still nothing showin in the log, thats the problem :)

Right know files are only added when i loggon to my server, add or rename some files by my self.

I too am having the scan media problem. Under Servo 1.4.x it worked fine. Under 1.5.1 I have to "Force Refresh" for it to find files. My details below:

Serviio Version: 1.5.1
OS: Mac OS 10.10.2
Files/File System: Serviio files kept on external drive attached as USB 2.0 HFS+ Journaled
OS File system: SSD/HDD formatted as: Logical Partition (Fusion Drive)

For now, I'm just doing a manual scan (Force Refresh) just before viewing my files as I don't add very many too often and it only takes a minute.

I just wanted you to know it affects MacOS too.

i too download torrents directly into a serviio-observed folder, and library updates don't happen, even after forcing the poller. i'm also wondering whether ZFS on linux may have something to do with that (no events emitted or something like that?), because i started using that around the time when i upgraded to serviio 1.5.

Was this ever resolved? Since 1.5 my library is not refreshing unless I forced it. I did everything suggested in this post but still no luck. At this point I have a Win 10 PC with Serviio 1.6. All my data sits on the NAS.
