QNAP - SERVIIO or MEDIABROWSER - HTTPS

QNAP : TS-453A
QNAP's Version : 4.3.2.0050
Serviio : 1.8 pro

Hi all,

this is my first time here and nice to meet you !!! :D :D :D :D

So, i put Serviio on my Qnap's Nas and i have a little problem... I can't open the https page. The Nas tells me that it's not supported ???? But in the FAQ of Serviio's site, it tells that the https connexion is available... I don't understand..

Thanks for your help !

How do I reproduce this dialog box on my NAS? What did you actually do to try to force https?

Re: QNAP - SERVIIO or MEDIABROWSER - HTTPS

Hi Zip,

thank you for your help.

My Nas is configured with HTTPS connexion, so all of my pages like (qnap admin page, surveillance station, etc...) open in https mode. So nothing special, all are ok. In App Center, Serviio was available. So i installed it !
And then i clicked on the Serviio icon. Nothing else...

I uninstalled and installed again serviio, same issue...

I don't know where you are, but he's in London. With time zone differences it might take a few days to see the message, research and test, then respond.

I think I've only aded support for this recently, perhaps for 1.9

You could skip this warning and manually change the console URL from http to https and port 23523 (and make sure you set this up on your router if you access remotely).

Hi atc98092,

i live in France, so there is no time differences between London and Paris... For the rest, no problem ! I didn't know that Zip are making researches and testing to reproduce the problem...

Hi Zip,

i tested the solution by changing http to https and port 23423 in local area ! The same problem : "Secure connections (https://) are not supported for this application...)

Just tried it with my 1.9 version (in progress) and it works. So should be available for you with 1.9 later this year
