Hi,

I'm hoping that Serviio media streaming server can do what I really, really would like. I want to be able to acces folders that contain ALL types of media. Pictures, music, images. I want to give a presentation of a project, or show my vacation to my familie.
I've got Serviio up and running, but it does exactly like other servers; split the multimedia access into Video / Images / Music.
Very nice for a big pile mp3's but absolutely not wat I want for these folders. Because giving a presentation it is cumbersome going up and down the Video / Images / Music folders on my TV when changing the type of media you want to show.
Is this possible, and yes how?

How about building a playlist with the media you wish to use in the desired order? The media doesn't have to be in the same location.

However, some players (such as Roku) is set to play one type of media when you drill down into the system. My Sony BD players does this as well. I can't say if your player will support multiple media types in a single playlist. Doesn't hurt to give it a try. :D

A playlist is not the solution; I want to decide at the moment of presentation what I show and the sequence of. Sometimes I skip some photo's, do some movies extra. I'm really stunned that most "media" servers are limited to the 3 main folders Video/Photo/Music . It would make so mush sense to have a 4th: Multimedia All folders assigned/reindexed to this "type" are shown "as is".

This makes the ReadyMedia(minidlna). Displays in one folder both video and photo. Do this in the Serviio, and it will be the best.
