Windows 10 Creators Update Problem

After upgrading to Windows 10 Creators Update 1703 Serviio works no more. I did an uninstall and cleaning all left entries. After a new install it seems to work, but when reading a library it stops after some minutes and the program is hanging. The server is no more reachable. I did it serveral times on 4 different Computers and its all the same. The only one with Aniversary Update still works without any problem.

Yeah, I have the same problem.
I think it might be related to this Windows 10 Creators Update network issue.

Re: Windows 10 Creators Update Problem

My computer just updated to 1703 an hour ago and Serviio's working fine. However, I have my firewall disabled. Not certain if that's part of the issue.

Reading that Technet article makes me think it's an IPv6 issue. I run a DNS server on my network, but only for IPv4. There are times I can't connect to any of my computers by name but it works if I use the IPv4 address. There's instructions somewhere on the web that tells Win 10 to use IPv4 as primary instead of v6, and that might help.

Re: Windows 10 Creators Update Problem

Yes, I think you are right.
It's a Windows Firewall issue. If I disable Windows Firewall, then Serviio works.

I can't figure out how to fix Windows Firewall though.

Re: Windows 10 Creators Update Problem

I completely uninstalled Serviio and Java using Revo Uninstaller, then reinstalled.
It works now.

Re: Windows 10 Creators Update Problem

That's happened to people in the past. Serviio is supposed to configure the firewall to allow Serviio to work, but seems to be times the settings don't take. I don't blame Serviio for that. Most likely something Windows related. :D
