mediabrowser

I am trying to setup mediabrowser on a sagecom fast 5260 router and can't seem to figure out how to foward the ports on the router.
I have done this before but on different routers with different programs.
Thanks for your help in this

Remote host is the IP address of the computer on the Internet that is permitted to use this forwarding rule. You are correct entering 0.0.0.0, as that is interpreted as any address.

Re: mediabrowser

Port 23423 is for the console, not MediaBrowser. 23424 is correct for the browser. Since the URL is different between the console and browser, that would explain if it wasn't working before.

Re: mediabrowser

The External Address field in Serviio Console isn't used by Serviio (it's used by other apps) so you can leave it blank.

Perhaps post a screen shot of your port forward page from your router. When testing ensure you are connected to an external network ie. don't try your external address from your home network, some providers don't allow that. Lastly ensure your external address is a public address and is not being natted by your provider.

I realize you have it working, but to answer this question: you can see your "public" IP address in your router information page. Then go to whatismyipaddress.com and see if it's the same number. If not, then your ISP has a firewall between you and the Internet, so NAT is enabled on their firewall. If that is ever the case, the only way you can have something visible from the Internet is to have your ISP add a port forwarding rule to their firewall just like you did to yours.

But since yours is working, that shouldn't be an issue. :D
