Custom Thumbnails

I've been creating thumbnails for my videos, placing them into a folder with the video and grabbing the thumbnail url with the restapi, to store in my database that renders HTML5 pages. The thumbnails show up correctly when the page loads, but as you can see from the attachment they are very blurry.

I've tried different pixels and jpeg and png, but the results are the same.

Re: Custom Thumbnails

The first thing to set is a setting in the profiles.xml file. At the bottom of the very first profile (the Generic profile) you will see this line:

<ThumbnailsResolution>DLNA</ThumbnailsResolution>

Change DLNA to HD and then either restart the Serviio process or reboot the computer. Now see if that is sufficient resolution for your use.

Re: Custom Thumbnails

No problem. Remember that you'll need to make that change every time Serviio is updated. The update install will create a new Profiles file with the default setting.
