1.8 works but 1.9 doesn't construct the library

Hi all,

First, i have to thank the serviio's staff for this very efficient software, and tell that the use of the mediabrowser (with the pro version) is very convenient!

But, i can't use the 1.9 version.

The 1.9 can't construct the library (it hangs after 2000-3000 files) and if i copy the 1.8's library on the 1.9 folder, i can't watch any movie in the mediabrowser interface (hlsjs: Video file not found)

I am on ubuntu 16.04.1 64 bits, and i use network drives mounted with cifs/samba to mounpoints in /mnt (and i use symbolic links pointing to the mountpoints - in 1.9).

I use the poller system for the network drives, and if i clic on the refresh button it does nothing...

There's no further informations in the log files,

i guess it is a right access issue, but there no issue at all with 1.8... it is strange...

all help will be appreciate !

(excuse my poor english, this is not my first language...) :)

Re: 1.8 works but 1.9 doesn't construct the library

You are likely on the right track about a rights issue, but I'm not familiar enough with Serviio on Linux to offer any pointers.

For the error you are seeing in MediaBrowser, someone earlier this week posted the clearing their browser cache resolved that same error. Might give that a try.

I cleared chrome's cache and there is same issue in the mediabrowser (hlsjs: Video file not found)...

I'll be online in one hour to test any suggestions

Check Serviio log. Transcoding probably failed.

Re: 1.8 works but 1.9 doesn't construct the library

Hi,

Petr, thanks for your reply,

I made a fresh install of the 1.9 version.

There is a problem with the media library, the indexation stops at about 80% of the files (mp3 files in this case), the files are on a (samba) network drive.

There is nothing in the log files concerning the reason of this halt and nothing also about any transcoding issue.

This is strange because with the 1.8 the indexation works perfectly (and the transcoding also).

Tomorrow, i'll made some tests in order to verify if the transcoding works with the 1.9 version (with the dlna server and the 'web' server of the mediabrowser),

I'll tell you more.

Re: 1.8 works but 1.9 doesn't construct the library

I think it's resolved,

Concerning the transcoding, i just upgraded ffmpeg to 3.3 version via ppa (ppa:jonathonf/ffmpeg-3) and it seems to work !

Petr, thanks a lot for the transcoding indication... :)

As i work with the 1.8 media-library copied over 1.9 one, i can't verify if the library-indexation works perfectly, but when i add a file library is updated.

Have a nice day !!
