Change Serviio server network name

I'm a newbee with serviio, although computer savvy, and have already searched in the forums.

I would like to give a chosen name to the 2 serviio servers I run at home.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Hi!

In the file "profiles.xml", set <FriendlyName>ANY_FRIENDLY_NAME_YOU_CHOOSE</FriendlyName> changing it.

Not sure if you can override the default one via "user-profiles.xml", so changing it at "profiles.xml" will work anyway.

What bolzass says. I run two Serviio boxes on my home network, and change the name this way so my wife knows which is which. And the line mentioned is very near the top of the file, so you don't need to dig deep to find it. Once you've edited the file, Serviio service has to be restarted for the new name to take effect. A computer reboot is the best way to make sure it's done right.

Many thanks to both of you.
It's a shame there is nothing in the console to change the name !
For what it's worth, on MacOS, the file is located in /Library/Application Support/Serviio/config
