Samsung Gear VR

I am trying to serve videos from my Raspberry Pi Two to my Gear VR. Only one video out of eighty seven is displayed. While I can't see the files listed all the metadata is displayed. These are side by side 3D videos with very wide aspect ratios. Even when looking with VLC on windows 10 I can only see the one video. I added a profile to user-profiles.xml that sets maxVBitrate="21360" which is the highest bit rate of any of my files. That got all movies to show up but the CPU was maxed out while transcoding. Turning off transcoding causes all but the one video to not show up. The CPU jumps to 300% while transcoding. Nothing in the logs indicates any errors.

Re: Samsung Gear VR

the Pi will not transcode anything I'd assume - it's too weak. If you want to play to the Gear, I'd say try with some mp4/h264/aac files - these should be supported natively.
