Yamaha Receiver cannot find server after last Win10 update

I have been using serviio to host music that I have been streaming successfully over ethernet to my Yamaha RX-V481 for the past year. I updated Windows 10 yesterday and I can no longer find the serviio server on my receiver, I have looked at some old threads about windows 10 issues but could not find a solution that worked.

Re: Yamaha Receiver cannot find server after last Win10 upda

Sometimes when Windows receives an update, it closes ports in the firewall that Serviio needs open. I can't tell you exactly which ones they are at the moment. Personally, I turn the firewall off on my home computers, because I'm not concerned with them being hacked from the outside. But if you prefer to keep up running, do a search of the forum and you'll find the ports that need to be opened. MediaBrowser needs 23424 and the console needs 23423, but I know there's one or two more that are required for your TV and AVR to see Serviio.

I found an old forum post that said "Also make sure that TCP port 8895 and UDP 1900 are open in your firewall" and unblocked those but Ive still had no dice so far. Thanks for the help btw

I tried temporarily disabling my firewall altogether and had no luck finding the receiver

Well, not sure about it then. I just updated my test server to Windows 10 yesterday and I can still see it with my Roku players. It's rebooting right now from another update last night, so we'll see if it still works afterwards.
