Serviio not refreshing

Serviio not refreshing

Hello,

I have Serviio Pro latest version 1.9.1

I have keep library automatically updated selected but, the library is not updating. When I hit force refresh it take over 1 hour to actually refresh. What should I do to fix this?

What operating system are you using? Is the drive connected to the same computer, or is it being accessed on the network?

When you configure your shared folder, there's a checkbox that says "Use the poller mechanism for monitoring this folder". Try this option and see if it monitors your shared folder better.

I too am having problems with 1.9.1 refreshing. Windows 10.

Reverting to a previous build.

I have a Mac Mini macOS High Sierra dedicated for Serviio and file sharing. Everything is on the same private network. The external drives are connected directly to the Mac Mini. I have 2 Samsung TVs and I can access Serviio on both. The problem is on both TVs. I've tried The poller mechanism and with that selected is worse. I restarted the Mac and that updated the list, but I don't want to restart the computer every time I add something. It should just update

I have a same problem with QNAP NAS.

My first problem, dont show/see the indexing process working :(

I believe the next thing to try is enabling detailed logging, restart Serviio and force a refresh, then upload the log here. Then the developer can see if something looks amiss in the log when refreshing.

I've enabled detailed logging already. I tried to understand what's going, but it was like looking at the matrix lol lol. Should I upload that one or should I disable it, delete it, enable it and do the force refresh?

Yeah, I'm not great at following some of it :lol: , but Zip will know what's going on. I would agree to make a clean detailed log, then upload it here.

check what is the last file it's trying to add... it might be stuck on it, so try to move it else where to see if you get forward.

No the log is from a few days back when I started researching on this forum for info regarding my problem. I found your instructions for debug logging. I did it and tried to read it, but I couldn't understand lol. The mac Mini is running macOS 10.13.3. The file system on the server is APFS. The external drives are HFS+. Anything else you need to know let me know

I'm having the same problem on Mac Sierra. [edit] also 1.9.1

To add Moving the last file didn't help.

I tried to untick Poller Mech. but then it won't save. Spinning wheel in the save box.

Also you cannot quit the app. Have to force quit.

Do you still want logs?

His post (and my sig line) has a link to instructions on enabling detailed logging. Follow that information and then upload the complete log. Be aware that by default the logs are broken into 500k sizes. So you might need to upload more than one file.

I was having the same problem. To get it to refresh, I used this work-around: I uncheck "Keep library automatically updated" and then "Forced Refresh" and the files were updated. It worked for me and may work for others.

Your settings look good, although I have no Mac knowledge so don't even know what that particular window is showing.

The log is not a detailed log. Zip might require the full debug log. From the log you did post, I have seen a similar error when I had a defective media file. Because of an aged hard drive, coupled with a power bump, I had a bunch of corrupted files. If you run ffmpeg -i on one you can see if the media within the container is valid. See the instructions in my sig line for gathering the media info.

I found that after stoping and starting the server from the Terminal , files started adding again.

  Code:
start the server
sudo launchctl load -F /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.serviio.server.plist

stop the server
sudo launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.serviio.server.plist



So its working again , but with so many people having the same issue it points to a bug.

If you need more logs, please let me know.
