Having the same issue. After upgrading to 1.9.1, after an indeterminate period of time (usually about a day or so), Serviio will stop detecting updates to the library. When this happens, I need to stop and restart Serviio to fix the issue. In addition, I am unable to stop the service normally and have to force stop Serviio from the task manager.

All of the folders in my library are configured to refresh using polling.

Relaunching the server no longer helps.

The file its getting stuck on seems to be this one.

Which is odd because i've deleted it.



UPDATE

After deleting the file and then rebooting the imac and then stopping and starting the Serviio server , files started to add again.

I'm having the same issue since updating to 1.9.1 on Windows 10. The library will refresh automatically for about a day or so and then stop. When this first started happening I tried restarting services a few times but was never successful so I just restart the PC. Once the PC has been restarted, the files that should have been processed are processed right away.

I don't know how the system works but it appears the triggering mechanism is working and the updates are queued but never processed. Once the system is restarted that queue is processed and all will run well for another day or so. If anyone needs logs or any other information let me know and I will try and provide it.

This same scenario is happening on my Synology as well. I did manage to find my log configuration and change the priority value from "INFO" to "DEBUG". I moved a movie off the library folder on my Synology and copied two new ones back to it. This is the only stuff I see in the log afterwards, and neither movie is visible when browsing the library afterwards.

I thought about reverting back to 1.9, because I really don't recall this happening on that version, but I'm not sure how to do this on the Synology easily.

Just a possibility about the unknown file type message. I was encountering the same message after I had a hard drive failure and I had recovered most of the files. It appeared I had a power issue, and found that I had some corrupted media files. They appeared normal, including showing the correct file size. But when using MediaInfo I discovered that the file was corrupt and there was no playable media within the container. That's why Serviio said unknown file type.

So, for those files, use MediaInfo or the ffmpeg -i command to examine the contents of your media file to see if there is any corruption. If you don't see the expected information (no codecs listed) then the file is corrupted.

you can make an api call to force refresh. no monitor progress, that is not possible and it was never there anyway.

Dear zip , when do You predict do release new version 1.9.2 ?? , I also suffer from a bug with library refreshing on my QNAP TS251 .... Thank You in advance for answer, and for Your hard work - Serviio is really my favourite one ! .

Thanks... I too am suffering this issue. Only a complete reboot of the system would bring it into sync.. Thanks.. Looking forward to 1.9.2

Wondering if you have an approx release date for 1.9.2? Along with the refreshing issue I now have to do a complete reboot so Serviio will "connect" to my devices.

Ugh Mine started it again yesterday all programs recorded none would show up today. I will grab the logs and post them here to morrow.. Worked great ever since upgrading to 1.9.2 but has stopped refreshing again.. It will be sometime 9-20 when I can submit my logs.. Thanks Jerry

Update I just remembered to turn on detailed loggings.. So it may be several days before it does it again. I will post as soon as it happens.

mine is doing this also, and only seems to refresh when I open the console webpage, happened in 1.9.1 and 1.9.2.

I have also enabled detailed logging, and will report back when I notice it again.
