According to the log, FFMPEG cannot be located. On a Windows computer, it should be located in C:\Program Files\Serviio\lib. Is the the location you have seen and updated it?

OK, we're going to need Zip to respond here. If FFMPEG is where it's supposed to be, I can't think of any other reason for this issue.

My only other suggestion would be to uninstall Serviio, reboot the computer, make sure the Serviio folder under Program Files is gone (remove it if it's still there) then do a fresh install.

I am at a complete loss. You appear to be running Windows 10, everything in your log matches with mine, right up until it doesn't find FFMPEG. Is this running on a virtual machine, or any other sort of non-standard installation?

No I run on a classic W10 64bits, I also try with closing Kaspersky Anti-virus and peerblock without succes. And if I click on the ffmpeg.exe and nothing happen.
I'm also lost.

I upgraded tonight to the most recent version, something I haven't done in a couple years and now I'm getting the same error.
Uninstalled Serviio. Uninstalled Java. Reinstalled both. Reinstalled earlier versions of Serviio.

Edit:
I uninstalled, reinstalled, went through multiple old versions, and this finally worked.
First, back up your library if you want to save your settings.

After getting all the way back to v1.6.1 and getting that to work, I uninstalled it. I don't know if this is a requirement, but just FYI.
Delete your library (make sure you have a backup somewhere).

1) I then clean installed v2.1.
2) Launched it and got a white box with "Cannot connect to the server, it doesn't seem to be running..."
3) WAITED UNTIL HDD ACTIVITY STOPS!!! Serviio is doing something here, so don't quit too fast or you'll never get this working.
4) Launch the console AGAIN. It should now work.
5) Close the console. Stop the ServiioService (in the Windows Task Manager 'Services' tab, under services.msc, or a command line (like I do) "START ServiioService.exe -stop" in your Serviio\bin\ folder.
6) Delete the Library folder in your installation directory.
7) Copy your old library back into your installation directory.
8) Restart the ServiioService (just the service). The command line should now be "START ServiioService.exe -start", or Task Manager, etc.
9) Wait again. Let the HDD activity slow down.
9) Now restart the console and everything should be working how you want it.

I have the same problem, and have tried, what cuf wrote us, but it does not work.
I will try to tell, what my story is.
Serviio does not running near two weeks. The kids have seen their cartoon, and it has gone offline in a second.
I was checking it at my pc (wni10) and it sais "cannot connect ...".
Today I have tried many things, the best result was:
1) uninstall
2) reinstall
3) I did not gave my license number (if I have gave it, it has gone offline again)
4) after several hours I did not do anything with serviio (it was runing)
5) I decided to add the library of the kids
6) it has happend again - "cannot connect ...."

So I do not have any problem with the firewall or router, but I do not know what to do.
Maybe someone had a same problem.

I see nothing wrong in that log. It shows a successful startup and loading all your media. The first thing to try is if you can connect to the Serviio console. Since you added your media library, that indicates that you can, and that Serviio is running. So if you can't see Serviio on your players/TVs, then there's a networking issue. Either the computer running Serviio has a firewall blocking access, or there's an issues with your network itself. But Serviio is running successfully.

Thank you for your help, but Serviio can not connect to the server after I have added my media files, so I do not know why is not nothin wrong in the second log, what I have sent.
So the TV can see Serviio only until I will add the files and the same is for the running of Serviio.
It was running successfully in the past several month, and I did not change any hardwer or softwer so I do not now what to check, maybe I will uninstal the windows.

OK, here's another possibility. If the profile Serviio is using for your TV isn't a good match, it won't show potentially playable files. So are you saying that Serviio doesn't even appear as a media source once you've added media, or is it there but just doesn't show anything to play?

As in the last few weeks, I made a new test again, and it shows always the same.
step 1) I have un-/reinstalad Serviio.
step 2) After instal, serviio is runnnig and my TV see it too.
step 3-a) I have added the files, the TV see them I can play them
step 3-b) I do not have added files
step 4-a) After, several minutes I can not reach Serviio. Either from TV, nor from my pc
step 4-b) After houers it is runnig without any problem

I understand that English isn't your native language, so my apologies but I am not completely following you.

You have installed Serviio, not added any media library locations in the Serviio console, your TV can see Serviio as an available media source.

You then add a media file location in the Serviio console, Serviio begins adding the videos to the library, and at first your TV can see and play media.

Now here's where I'm losing the info. After some time Serviio is no longer even visible on the TV? When Serviio is no longer visible on the TV< can you still open the Serviio console? If so, then Serviio itself is still running. The question becomes why doesn't the TV see it. That could be network related, or there might be a firewall on the computer that is causing it.

One place you can check is your Device Manager. You're running Windows 10 according to your Serviio log. If you right click on the menu button in the bottom left, you will see Device Manager. Open that, and find your network adapter. Open the properties, and on the Power Management tab there is a checkbox labeled "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". If that is checked, remove the check from the box. If Windows shuts down your network adapter to save power, then your TV will no longer see the computer.

After some time, serviio is no longer visible on the tv and Serviio itself is not running. Only the window will be shown, where the sentence come" cannot connect ..."

In the mean time before I have started to reinstall windows, had a crazy and simple idea. After reinstalation of Serviio, I have changed the name of Library and as an extra I have added only few video files to the library.
No it is running over 6 hours. I hope it will stay so.
