[Solved] My tv and Blu-ray player don't see Serviio

Hi all
I'm already a very happy Serviio user for a long time. Recently my router broke down, so I had to buy a new one. My new router is a Sitecom WL-431. Since then my tv (Sony LX-900) and blu-ray player (sony BDV e370) can't find the serviio server anymore. Serviio does find the tv and blu-ray player. I tried restarting, re-installing but it doesnt work. The problem should probably be in the router settings. I have browsed through my router settings but couldn't find anything that was useful.
Does anyone know how I can get my Serviio server back up and running?
THX!

Re: My tv and Blu-ray player don't see Serviio

make sure that the tv and serviio computer are on the same network. ie make sure the ip addresses are the same format. ie. 192.168.1.2 computer and 192.168.2.10 TV.

and make sure you set the same IP addresses to the devices/serviio as before, or update the Bound IP address field acordingly

Re: My tv and Blu-ray player don't see Serviio

My tv is 192.168.0.103, blu-ray player is 192.168.0.101, computer is 192.168.0.110

I put the ip address in bound ip address. Is that sufficient or should I also make a static ip address?

I think there should be something wrong in the router configuration. I had the same set-up with my old router and I had no problems at all.

puit the PC ip in there and make it static, because it'll stop working if the router assigns it a new IP address

Re: My tv and Blu-ray player don't see Serviio

It finally worked. The problem was at the tv/br player. I deleted all the servers in the list and refreshed the list and there it is.

Now the next problem. It is extremely slow. It plays movies, but it takes like 2 minutes to load. When playing, it plays for 2 seconds and then it freezes for 5 seconds, then it plays again for 2 seconds,...etc.

What could be the problem here? My new router isn't really fast, but it certainly isn't slower than my old router. My old router played everything fine...

are you on wifi? if yes, check the signal strength, channel traffic, etc. you can try to ping the device's IP from the Serviio PC to check what kind of response delay you're getting (should be around 1ms).

Also the file might have been transcoded. Are you getting the same with all videos?

My blu-ray player is on network cable. I just pinged it, it is under 1ms.
I get the same with all files, with .mkv, .mpeg, .wmv.

Re: My tv and Blu-ray player don't see Serviio

It's solved :)

My transcoding was set on 1 core. I put it on 8 cores. Still didn't work.
I noticed my internet was way too slow for what I pay for, so I reset the modem and the router. Internet worked a lot better and now my streaming too.
Sometimes it's like all devices live their own life.

I workes now. Thx for the help in the reply's.
