Serviio

Since Serviio 1.0 it is not possible anymore to update the library (searching for new files).
Neither with console nor with ServiiDroid it it possible to search for new files (status led´s are always red).
How can I fix that?

Have you actually added some new files that aren't being picked up/do you have updates ticked for the shared folder? The updates are a lot quicker now, so they may finish within the status update interval (IIRC 10 seconds for ServiiDroid and something a bit less for the normal console).

Remember to allow the 'serviio' user read access to the shared folders which your media is stored in. Check in the Shared Folders Control Panel in Synology DSM.

I have different new files and folders copied on the DS212j and "user servio" has read access to all relevant folders.
Mostly I use ServiiDroid to update the files manually. It is easy because I don´t have to start my PC. ServiiDroid
brings an audiosignal if the search for new files is finished. but now nothing happens.

Can you post a detailed log please? Also post permissions just to be sure.

It could be some sort of character encoding problem. By the look of that log, most of the files you're trying to add contain characters that don't look to be normal UTF-8:

this is german language (ü, ö, ä, ß) but I think, that is not the problem. Every time I stored a new file (mp3) in the musicfolder of my NAS,
I clicked on ServiiDroid (force update) and the "led" looking for new files switched to green. Now both "leds" are red and nothing happens.
This is also on the console (PC). I can´t update my files.

I think its a problem of writting permissions on your NAS.

I gave the serviio user admin rights and for the directorys read and write access. Same problem as bevor.

I think the only possibility is to reinnstall the complete serviio package. Isn´t it?

I don't know...
you can try to delete the library folder and restart serviio service.
When you remove/delete the library folder, serviio wil create a new one but you probably have to reconfigure the serviio console with your settings (share folders, online resources,etc).

I think I have a installation problem. I tried to remove the library folder but I get back an error: [ServiioStatusService] NullPointerException occured. Returning error code 500 to the REST layer. Message: null

I think I have to reinstall.

Fixed the problem now. In the console I added the directory with "add local" then network, nas, folder.
After I add the folders with "add path" for example "/volume1/videos" it works perfect. Sorry for my stupidity

Is this really my mistake? I think, I never changed the path after upgrading to version 1.0.1

Now the working path is: /volume1/music
The path bevore was: /volume1/homes/serviio/\\SYN-NAS\music

I think your current path is right. It's the path of the files as viewed on the NAS, not on your PC (NAS is where serviio runs)
