MAC + PS3 + ROUTER (Hardwired),,,movies hesitating/lag

16GB RAM
3.6 ghz i5
1GB Video Card
MAC OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion
Java 6 Installed
streaming from iMAC to PS3 via Linksys E3200 router...all ports opened and everything is wired with ethernet.
during movie playback, every few minutes, the movie or show hesitates for 10-15 seconds and then resumes.
any idea what's causing this? I'm at a loss.
