Performance playing SRT subtitles with 1080p video

Hi, I'm running the latest Serviio version on a Windows XP, pentium 2.7Ghz dual core machine with 2GB of RAM.
When accessing it from my Sony TV and playing a video with 1080p definition and external (srt) subtitle, it is not performing well and video and audio are being interrupted all the time. If I play a video with 720p definition and srt subtitle, it goes fine. If I play a 1080p video without subtitle, it goes fine also.
How can I fix this? Is my machine configuration not enough to be used by Serviio to transcode HD Video (1080p) with external subtitles through DLNA?
Thanks in advance!

sounds like server performance may be a factor, have you looked at your resource usage while playing a video that stutters? I am guessing that both of your cpu's are probably pegged at 100%

As it says here: http://www.serviio.org/index.php?option ... icle&id=33

Hardsubs need to transcode, as with your specs it's not coping with 1080p video, obviously

Thanks by all replies. I'm gonna take a look on resource utilization when playing 1080p video with srt subtitle. Any idea on which machine would perform well with this?
