First i want to congrat the developers for the best dlna software on the world!
Second, im no coder or developer so sorry if i make "dumb questions"!

My current problema is that before serviio remodeling, i was able to use shared hdd´s over lan, with the new version i cant, am i doing something wrong or that support ended?

Thanks on advance!

That ability is still there. Almost always with issues accessing network shares, it's permissions related. Serviio installs and operates under the Local System service account, which has limited networking permissions. If you change the account that the Serviio service runs under to your personal login account, it can then access anything on the network that you can access yourself.

Many thanks for the reply!

But i didnt manage to get the job done, so ive returned to the older version, and that little detail of "add local" or "add path", ROCKS!!!
The newer version only shows my hard drives without the possibilty for browsing a path to the shared drives, either by lan path or maped drives letters...
So it makes no sense to me the permissions issues, as the older version gives me no problems!

But once again many thanks for the reply!
... and any ideias is ALWAYS WELCOME!!!

I'm not at home right now, so can't access the console. Since I myself don't use networked drives, I hadn't paid attention to that change. I'll take a look this evening and see what I overlooked. I'm sure you can still do it. It's likely just a slightly different procedure.

You can add the same path to the field manually rather than using the Browse button.

I did put the path manually, but it didnt worked!

Either by mapped drive or lan entry the result was always an error, something like "files are inaccessible or cant be read".

That certainly points to a permissions issue.
