Netgear EVA2000

Netgear EVA2000 is a small box that is able to add DLNA capability to any TV. So far the automatic detecting is working fine (I'm using it to play only avi/divx video streams). I will add more testing experience if I will find any compatibility issue.

Re: Netgear EVA2000

I'm testing Serviio with EVA2000 too. Basically, it works fine; but I can't find a way to obtain any "extended" metadata (cd covers, DVD posters) on the player (...and that's the reason why I'm trying Serviio, replacing uShare :( )

I understand that it's probably an EVA2000 issue, but I try to ask my question anyway: which are the player's minimum requirements, in order to have Serviio working with fanart/covers/posters... ? It's clear that a "DLNA compatible" player is not enough...

Thank you in advance for your answer (...and help, I hope) :)

Regards

Not sure about thisplayer but some don't support that (e.g. xbox).

Re: Netgear EVA2000

Thank you for your quick answer, zip.
But, again: which are the player's minimum requirements, in order to have Serviio working with fanart/covers/posters... ?

In other words: how can I know (in advance) if a DLNA player wil (or will not) support cover/posters?

Thank you again :)

Re: Netgear EVA2000

I would say go to a forum and ask people who already have it. DLNA spec doesn't say thumbnails have to be supported (for example small screen devices don't have enought space for images).
