Re: Compatible devices list

Audio and video working very well indeed with Sony BDP S370. Though havnt figured out how to get my flac's and mp4 to display its tags.. mp3 tags work well. The category's could do with changing so that that you only see video on video and music on music view for instance.

Re: Compatible devices list

Serviio 0.5.2 seems to work fine with my Android HTC Desire S using the (free) UPnPlay App to browse the content and send it to your favourite player. No metadata, but cover art shows when music is playing
Trying to get Serviio working with Samsung D7000 and ReadyNas NVX without a PC in between

Re: Compatible devices list

Found serviio after a less then favorable experience using WMP for MKV streaming to my Samsung PN58C6500.

With Serviio - i have no issues with MKV! Thank you!!!!!!

Trying to get my Denon 3808 to work with serviio and I too am seeing the (Not Authorized) issue. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the MediaLink profile you refer to. Where can I find this?

Re: Compatible devices list

Panasonic DMP-BD75

From what I can gather from my early tests, the Panasonic DMP-BD75 is a better DLNA player than the Sony BDP-S370: the DMP-BD75 plays most of the video files that I got without resorting to transcoding.

But compared to the Sony, the Panasonic on-screen GUI is pretty lame.

Re: Compatible devices list

works fine with my Samsung BD-D8900N. Much better than Samsungs allShare.
[Update] It runs as unknown device and there are no support for .mkv or .srt files. Sad, but have to find something else.

Serviio 0.5.2 works with Samsung UE40D7000 and Playstation 3, serviio installed on Ubuntu 10.10 and MAC OS X 10.7.
FF and Pause working, subtitles with srt.

Not on iPhone 4, iPad or iPod (That' s a pity).

thanks for the program and keep up the good work! 8-)
Mac Mini 2011 (Lion Server), MacBook Pro Unibody 2009 both with Serviio 0.6.0.1, Samsung UE40D7090.

Apple compatability is an FFmpeg issue and not really the fault of serviio, as they require MP4 format files and you cant transcoed into Mp4 on the fly at the current times with FFmpeg.

Currently using LGBD570 DVD player and an Onkyo HT-RC360 receiver. The receiver doesn't require transcoding for FLAC files and works well with the vanilla device profile.

Re: Compatible devices list

Android upnPlay app issues: unable to display cover art for MP3s.

Similar issue on multiple Android devices, though cover art is displayed using upnPlay when connecting to other DLNA servers besides Serviio.

I have run script that populates all cover art and embeddeds within ID3 tag. Is it possible I'm using the wrong ID3 tag version? I am using ID3 Tag 2.3

Otherwise streaming audio has been most successful on WiFi and WLAN (I have created SSH tunnel to Serviio and am having no issues accessing over internet/3G)

Running: Andoird HTC Incredible 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Any suggestions on the cover art issue?

PLease use the search box at top of page as i have persoanly discussed this a few times on the support section of the forum, android devices are not supported until 0.6 is released as there was a bug in serviio coden that has now been fixed also i would recommend " skifta " app as that is one that i personaly ( and a few other beta testers ) use and have found it work wonderfully.

Running Serviio 0.5.2 from OSX Lion 10.7 on Samsung UN55D8000 with positive results. My console is active, but once I close it out I am unable to retrieve it again without quitting the application.

when you close console, you can reopen it by clicking on the system tray Serviio icon (top right)

Works with a Sony KDL-32V5810 Bravia xbox 360

Not having much luck with the Philips Streamium SL400i for audio, will post up the specs to the correct thread when I have time.

Toshiba 55SL500U LED TV. So far works with Default Profile. I have the DLNA certificate and will see how things match up with the other Toshiba profiles already there.

Re: Compatible devices list

I am using DirecTV DVR and Sony BD. Since upgrading to 0.6, I have to assign DirecTV profile every time the console loads. It will no longer remember.
