Re: Compatible devices list

Compatible: Sony KD-49XD8005 and KD-55X8505C, Libratone New Zipp
NOT compatible: Libratone New Zipp Mini

But both Libratones should work well, they are using the same codecs! But the Mini says "Source not found Code 716" with BubbleUPNP as used app. :? So I cannot use them as multi room renderers. If I'm using another DLNA server, Media Go e. g., everything works fine! So there must be an issue with Serviio.

Not dead at all, but most of us don't like to respond with an I don't know. It doesn't help anything, and you need someone with knowledge in a specific area. I have no idea what a Libratone is.

Well, this is an issue where I can help :!:

Libratone is a Danish brand of wireless DLNA certified audio speaker systems. They are really *very* compatible with any systems and protocols. One of their slogans: "if you can stream it, the ZIPP and ZIPP MINI can play it via WiFi or Bluetooth". This is why I'm rather frustrated because the smaller one of them does not stream contents from Serviio although it has the identical firmware as the bigger model - which does very well with Serviio.

Phillips SmartTV works fine. Also HEOS works although there is a slow detection rate and this is the subject of another post.

Re: Compatible devices list

Happy to report that Serviio works beautifully with my Yamaha WXAD-10 wireless streaming adapter and plays all my music formats I could throw at it: mp3, FLAC, WAV, AAC, ALAC in 16/24 bit up to 96kHz. I changed to Serviio because Plex would not play back ALAC files.
Well done guys! :)

Re: Compatible devices list

I use five different Roku throughout my house for five different television sets. The Serviio and the streaming application available through Roku work well. One issue: no fast forward or rewind for streaming video. Bummer! Other than this though, I really love being able to stream my saved TV programs to any TV in the house. The Roku streaming utility and Serviio work well together. I also have access to photos and audio files, though I do not make use of this as much.

Roku cannot do trick play with transcoded files, unless they are applehttp format. We aren't using that format at this time because it doesn't support multi-channel ac3 audio. By default, Serviio assigns the most restrictive Roku profile, since the players themselves don't identify themselves accurately via DLNA. If you have a Roku released within the last couple of years, select one of the other Roku profiles. Note that if your video is encoded with MPEG2, the only Roku devices that can play them without transcoding are the Roku TVs. But if your video uses MP4 or H264 video, and you don't have Dolby TrueHD audio, you should be able to play the video without transcoding. If you are not using an AVR for your audio, then DTS Master Audio will also require transcoding.

Send me a PM if you have any specific questions about the various Roku players that aren't necessary to be discussed here in the forum.
