Running on FreeBSD-9.0, serving a Samsung Plasma TV C-series (wired), and occasionally my PS3 (wifi, better and more stable video streaming than PMS, but lack of subtitles integration forces me to stick mostly to PMS).

Works great with Samsung UE40D5000. Serviio beats everything I tested before like Twonky or TVersity.

Works fine with Panasonic TX-P42GT30E, profile "Panasonic Viera With AVI Support"

Audio: MP3 and FLAC = works
Pictures: Jpeg = works
Video: avi with srt = works
DVD: picture and sound = works
DVD problem: can't select other audio, no subtitle - I know, maybe in future.

Hi,

Works well with my wife's Samsung BluRay player BD-D5500.

Better than the memory & CPU hog that is Samsung's "AllShare"!

I did make one small change myself to the profile for "Samsung C/D": I changed 4.1 to 5.2 for AVC. I found it was trancoding mkvs which played OK from a USB stick.

The Samsung manual states it only plays up to L4.1, the files I was playing were L5.1 (according to MediaInfo). Plays them OK now, with subs!!!

I also made the changes I found on the Wiki about removing device description from the profile and "Presentation" settings in Serviio.

I put this info here in case some-one does a search for this player.

Thanks for a great proggie.

dRdoS7.

Serviio 0.6.2 running under Windows 7 64 Ultimate.

Works with my Panasonic SC-BTT362, which had me ripping my hair out for a while. The profiles posted in the Panasonic thread helped greatly , in fact the first one that I copied into my config did the trick :D No problem with my PS3 either. Excellent piece of software.

Sony CMT-MX700Ni, works perfectly, though it will take a long time for serviio to start on my NAS.

Hello All,

I am runing Serviio v 0.6.2 on a Windows 7 (64 bit) PC, using an ASUS O!Play Air with firmware version 1.29P (http://www.asus.com/Multimedia/Digital_ ... /OPlay_Air) - attached to an 15-year-old TV set via composite video/audio. Via WLAN. And it works... :) Thank you!

Well, it works up to 95%... One or two things should be fixed. My O!Play Air is identified as an "unrecognized device" and the "generic DLNA profile" is used. This causes e.g. that FastForward isn't very fast (1,5x and 2x - that's it...). O!Play Air can do faster - I know it from a test with TVMOBiLi (up to 32x). By the way: TVMOBiLi identifies an ASUS O!Play Air as "POSIX UPnP/1.0 Intel MicroStack/1.0.2718, O!Play_Air, DLNADOC/1.50" - whatever that means...

A little more annoying is that during the last minute of a video (H.264 videos, I think) the ASUS player says "I/O error" and prompts me with an "OK" - no other choice... And of cause, the video does not continue.

For ASUS users: when I started with the ASUS O!Play Air, I had the problem that the player sometimes did not find any DLNA server on my PC. Solution: switching the channel set up of my WLAN from "automatic" to a fixed channel, e.g. channel 5. This works at least with my Speedport W 723V (German telecom).

From my point of view, it would be nice to create a profile for an ASUS O!Play Air (or for ASUS O!Plays in general). If I could be helpful in testing profiles with this ASUS player, do not hesitate to provide me with profiles. Thanks in advance...!

Best regards

CC5

Works very nice on Samsung LA37D550 with 2 minor issues:

. The TV reboot from time to time when requesting for an online streaming that doesn't work
. rtsp links doesn't work yet (working on the profile)

Works out-of-the-box with Sony KDL-46HX823 + MacBook laptop.

Though, so far, I have only used Serviio to view movies stored on my MacBook. I am interested in streaming online video, but I have not tested it yet.

It works perfect with my Panasonic TX P42GW30 but my T&A MusicPlayer has a problem to talk
to Serviio. In Serviio the MP is recognized and displayed using the Generic DLNA profile , but from the device itself I can't select
the Server as a soure allthough it is listed in its display.

However I can stream music to it using PlugPlayer or 8player.

I have a Samsung Smart TV 32ES5500 and a Dell E6410 laptop as server.

In Serviio the TV is recognized and displayed using the Generic DLNA profile , but from the device itself I can't select
the Server as a source (is not listed). I understood that I have to install a plugin but I couldn't find any additional info and/or the plugin.

No plugin is required. Read FAQ to troubleshoot the problem you have.
