I use serviio to stream files from a Linux server to my Oppo blu-ray player BDP-83. The Oppo player is uPnP/DLNA-capable listed in some of the wiki pages on DLNA-capable devices. The TV is relevant as video and audio stream from the server via the Oppo through my Onkyo TSX-850.

It works out of the box with my Samsung BD-C5500 Blu-ray player which means it should also work with the BD-C6500 as well. For having such a short shelf life this project is extremely polished, amazing work by one person! Thanks a lot. I hope I can contribute to your efforts in the future. The firmware on these devices is a moving target at this point, they are really new.

I'm using Serviio to stream from a WHS (HP EX485) to my WDTV Live. It displays and plays the .MKV files I have on my server fine, and displays the photographs. I'm hoping the next version has support for audio playlists (it doesn't seem to have it yet, unless I'm missing something!)

Now if I could gain more control over the WDTV Live UI, it could be a winner! Everything is so deeply nested on the WDTV Live that the WAF is sorely lacking!

Ditto on Samsung BD-C5500 Bluray Disc Player....... should mean the C6500 and C6900 will be OK too

Just select the WiselinkPro profile and ensure you stop/start the Serviio server

I'm using a Samsung BD-c5500 bluray player.

Videos are detected fine, but audio files are not detecting for me. The structure of the folders containing audio files is available to browse, but the content is not visible. Transcoding fails for very few videos.

Sometimes Serviio will go through a spat of disconnecting constantly, then becomes stable again. I don't know if it's related, but times I've noticed it have been after saving changes to the shared folder settings.

I'm not sure how this player works, but on my TV you have to be in the proper Samsung's category (e.g. Audio, Video, Images) as it will filter out any content that doesn't belong to that category even though it will let you browse Serviio's folders.

I'm using a Samsung UA46B7000 LED TV, however I'm finding that streaming stops before end of the video file. I've had this problem with other DLNA servers (Samsung PC Share Manager and WMP12), however s far Serviio has proven the most stable.

Still not sure if it is the Samsung TV or something wrong with the setup I have on my Windows 7 PC. Any suggestions welcomed.

Got it working with my UN46B8500. MKV files look gorgeous. Wish the FF and REW worked. Oh well guess that is a feature request.

Have you tried the Jog (left right directional keys) and timestamp (Tools) features as theres don't work on my HT-C5500 or BD-C5500 (at least no with 4.0 Beta)

Have you tried the Jog (left right directional keys)

I'm not sure what jog means, do you mean something like fast forward to skip some minutes of a video or mp3 file?
==> if so, this doesn't work at all

timestamp (Tools) features

in the tools menu I have:
repeat modus (random ...) -> works
information -> I get, name, artist, time, size, genre, album, date (similar for videos)

A Sony BDP-S370 with the new DLNA enabled FW.
Device is stated as PS3.

Not a perfect experience, really, but works.

Serviio on OpenSolaris build134 on a 4core Xenon/8GB-ECC server using SunRay server and SunRay2FS as user i/f devices.

Please suggest a perfect way to startup Serviio. If anyone has a spec for a suitable solaris service definition, please share.
