Updates needed for sony2010 profile

Hello

Not sure, if this is the right place to post, but I think there are some updates that need to be made to sony2010 profile. For reference, I have a KDL-xxHX800 TV.

Every time I install a new version of Serviio, I have to change the following:

  • add `<Matches container="*" vCodec="h265"/>` to "Transcode" list to support newer compression.
  • move all `aCodec="eac3"` from "Remux without transcode" to "Remux and transcode" audio block for all containers, since this TV can't handle eac3 audio natively.
  • decrease `maxVBitrate=17000` to something lower. I had to go to 13000 for the TV to stop stuttering on playback of certain high-data scenes.

Thanks!

Re: Updates needed for sony2010 profile

I suggest creating your own personal profile that won't get replaced at update time. See this page: http://www.serviio.org/index.php?option ... icle&id=16

If you want to have your profile changes persisted across upgrades, you can add new profiles to a file config/user-profiles.xml. All the syntax and rules described below apply to this file as well.

That's good to know. Although I still feel the first 2 points should be updated in the official release since those TV models don't support h265 or eac3.

Re: Updates needed for sony2010 profile

Some profiles are developed and maintained by someone other than the Serviio developer, and he includes them when someone provides them. If he has time he might take a look, but hopefully someone with the same equipment can help modify them. Your comments in your post could be of assistance there as well.
