None of my apple lossless music files are listed when I look through my music library?
Re: M4A apple lossless music
They are not supported yet. Should come in 1.7.

Re: M4A apple lossless music
Why wouldn't lossless be supported? Not a crazed apple fan but it's been around for a few years now. When does 1.7 get released?
Re: M4A apple lossless music
1.6 hasn't been released yet, although it's almost there. I would guess that 1.7 would be about mid-year. That is a totally uneducated guess, as I don't know how much Zip has on his docket.

Zip says it should be in Serviio 1.7. He just released 1.6 a week ago, so I would imagine it will be at least a few months before 1.7 is available. He's a one man shop, and tries to have a life on the side...

I am running version 1.6.1 and just scanned my folders. Apple lossless (.m4a / alac) are not scanned and added to the library. The release notes for 1.6 suggest m4a/aac files but not m4a/alac.
Any idea if alac will be supported in 1.7 and when this version might be released?
Seems strange that support for dsf has been added recently which is really a less used audiophile format whilst alac, which is mainstream and been around for years is still waiting. It was the reason I ditched serviio back at version 0.5.
Here's hoping it's soon....
