Transcode only MKV files with PGS subtitles

Hi everybody, my first post.
I've tried Plex, Emby and now Serviio and I have to say it's the best one of these three. There is only one thing I would like to get working. My TV (LG Smart TV 2014) supports almost every subtitle format (external srt, srt embedded in mkv...), except for PGS subs. I've noticed Serviio now supports these subtitles, so my goal is this: play every movie with subtitles without transcoding (like now), but transcode MKV files that contain PGS subs. I've been trying to make this happen but no success (changing settings in console, editing profile for LG TV..). Can anybody help me which settings should I change? Thank you, greetings from Slovakia :)

Re: Transcode only MKV files with PGS subtitles

You can chose based on subtitles type. You will have to enable burned-in subtitles (and enter the language code, as they are probably embedded - http://serviio.org/index.php?option=com ... icle&id=33).

Then turn that off after you watched the file to avoid transcoding when not necessary.

Re: Transcode only MKV files with PGS subtitles

Thanks for the advice, I know that it can be done this way (by enabling/disabling burned-in subtitles), but I was wondering if there is any way to do this automatically? Something like <Matches SubtitleType="pgs" /> under transcoding? I know it doesn't work, but maybe something similar like this?

Re: Transcode only MKV files with PGS subtitles

Zip, I have numerous MKV files with PGS subs, and they still don't appear. I have all the subtitle settings enabled on the console. Nothing shows when using my Sony BD player, Samsung TV or the Roku players. Any ideas? Would you like a detailed log of a playback attempt?

ffmpeg -i of the file and detailed log, yes pls. Also a screenshot of your subtitles console screen.
