Transcoding/downmixing audio for android player?

I recently got a new phone and was using ServiiGo + MX Player for a few days, but then realized it has issues with AC3 playback. It just says "AC3 playback not supported, blah blah" then plays the file without sound. Serviio is set to transcode/downmix the audio to stereo but it seems like it's not happening for the phone for whatever reason. The mediabrowser version (inside Chrome) works WITH sound on the phone though.

I'm not married to ServiiGo/MX Player if you know of alternatives that will work. I'd just like something with a few more options than the mediabrowser version has. It seems like the ServiiGo version is just doing it's own thing and requesting AC3 versions that it can't actually play or something...

I'm running Serviio PRO v 1.9 on Windows 10 Home in case that matters. Android 7 Nougat for the phone (Moto G5 Plus).

EDIT: Sound and video works correctly using Moboplayer and ServiiGo instead. The only problem there being that Moboplayer apparently doesn't support subtitles.

Give VLC a try.

Thanks! :) I didn't even think of that even though that's why I use in Windows (and MPC-HC sometimes)

I have it on my Samsung S8, but haven't tried it much yet. But if I remember correctly it worked. :D
