CDS API - play

I do have an other question with respect to the CDS API play.

( the context is a custom remote control I am constructing for my Onkyo network receiver )

I am doing now browsing and selection using the Serviio API.
In the end I issue 'play' to start playing a song.

Now, I was surprised - didn't maybe thing enough through it - that this works but it 'just plays' the song. I.e. no way of pausing or searching in it. Is there a way of doing that throught the API ?

My alternative is identifying the song through Serviio and than have my Onkyo ( after running through a bunch of selection menus ) ask for the song to Serviio. In that case pausing and searching would be possible.
It is however a clumsy way of working ...

Thanks,

Jos

Re: CDS API - play

Only Play is implemented at the moment. And it's still in beta anyway.

Re: CDS API - play

That is clear but disappointing.

On the basis of ( http://serviio.org/component/content/ar ... sed/66-api ) "CDS API is only available in the Pro version. It enables browsing and playback of the content via HTTP, possibly remotely", I decided to go Pro.
It means I will somehow need to bring in a control point functionality in my flow ...

Stays a great product anyway !

Thanks,

Jos

Re: CDS API - play

Well that ticket is marked for 1.9, the fact that I managed to do something for 1.8 is just a bonus ;-)
