Re: Need Help: Arris Media Gateway (Moxi)

ok think i got this sorted here hopefully is our last profile for this device :)

Changes

+ added transcoding for high level H264 file ( same as all other devices )
+ Remux AVI and MKV file to mpegts if they have H264 video.
+ Transcoding H264 with DTS audio to mpegts with mpeg2video and ac3
+ Transcoding for unsupported formats to mpeg2video and ac3 ( ie all none H264 files )
+ Transcoding for ogg and 3gp, not many users have these but worth having for completeness

Re: Need Help: Arris Media Gateway (Moxi)

Thats fine got late last night and started making mistakes, so went to bed. i have corrected them in my profile above, also yours has a slight difference to mine, try this profile. (dca is now only remuxed to ac3 without affecting video)

  Code:
<Profile id="22" name="Arris Media Player Final Fixed" extendsProfileId="1">
  <Detection>

how do you mean? you can hand out that profile to anyone to try and i will request it to be added to next release of serviio, if this last test works as i espect it will.

Not quite there.

I again can't get Serviio to start. I tried to go back to the previous code, but you've updated it, so I'm trying to debug it.

Update: added the detection back and it loads.

Yes. The one which was showing video and no audio now has both. I have yet to find a format which is not working now.

MODS: can we close this down now please. :)

Re: Need Help: Arris Media Gateway (Moxi)

you have flv transcoding to mpegps, which won't work.

Re: Need Help: Arris Media Gateway (Moxi)

Is this device the same as the 'media player' box that comes with WOW cable's whole-home DVR (ultra tv)?

Also, what would be the best format to rip dvd/blu-rays for it so they would play without transcoding and thus permit fast-forward and rewind?

Re: Need Help: Arris Media Gateway (Moxi)

I've tried following this thread but I just can't seem to get my Eastlink Arris to work with .mkv files. The debug logs shows that Serviio knows its a MKV file. It also shows that it knows I'm running a Moxi client. But when I try to play the mkv file it doesn't even try to transcode it. The Arris front end just shows a "!" over the movie poster. I'm using the last profile shown on Page 2 of this thread. Other then turning on debug I haven't made any other changes. I checked in the console for serviio and it does show that transcoding is allowed. Does any one have some hints?

Thanks
