Serviio Console does not start on Windows 7 64bit

I cannot get Serviio console to start on my PC. Can you help? I am just an ordinary PC user with minimal technical knowledge.

I have installed the server 1.2.1 on my Synology NAS. That appears to be running.

I have installed Console 1.3.1 on my PC, but it does not run. It appears briefly in Task Manager processes, but then disappears.

I have seen previous posts and removed and reinstalled both 32bit and 64bit java. I have seen the posts that say the server and console versions may be incompatible, but I cannot find a Console version 1.2.1 or a NAS higher Synology NAS version.

Log is attached below.

Re: Serviio Console does not start on Windows 7 64bit

Console must be the same version as the server. Download the 1.2.1 version of Serviio here - http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Serviio/old-versions - and install the console.

Re: Serviio Console does not start on Windows 7 64bit

It says so in the log:

  Code:
WARN [ServiioConsole] Serviio server version is 1.2.1, ServiioConsole version is 1.3.1. They might not be compatible.

Re: Serviio Console does not start on Windows 7 64bit

It works now. Thanks for the help.

Yep, I read that warning, but it only said "may not be", and it didn't tell me where to find a version 1.2.1 of the client. I did try.

A suggestion/question: Would it be feasible/desirable to have either : A) a thin client for the Synology NAS server or b) a configuration app in the Diskstation control panel?

Re: Serviio Console does not start on Windows 7 64bit

you can install a WebUI on the NAS, once 1.3.x version is out. Head over to the NAS sub forum to get some more info.
