"Upper Folder" appears on top level?
Posted: Sat Jun 08, 2013 4:15 amI'm using Serviio 1.2.1 with Samsung BD C5500. I have "Samsung TV / player (C/D/E series)" profile selected for this device in Serviio settings. I just noticed a strange bug: my player suddenly displays "Upper Folder" icon on the very top level when I return there from the lower level.
For example, when I enter Serviio folder list through, say, Video icon of the main player menu, I see the list of folders shared through Serviio. Expectedly, there's no "Upper Folder" icon on that screen. And I can use "Return" button to exit back to main player menu. (BTW, this top-level list contains shared video and music folders simultaneously, which is strange, but tolerable.) Now I enter some folder with videos. I see the list of videos and "Upper Folder" icon appears there as well. So far, so good. However, if now I return back one level (i.e to the top-level shared folder list), that list will suddenly contain an "Upper Folder" icon. What gives? That icon does not work, i.e. it does not do anything. And "Return" button does not return me to the main player menu anymore either.

which describes exactly the same problem. I followed the advice given in this post

i.e. I deleted some data from 'profiles.xml' file and restarted the Serviio Service.
This modification had an interesting and very welcome effect. Now when I enter shared folder list through Video icon of the main player menu, I can only see shared folders that contain video content. And when I enter shared folder list through Music icon of the main player menu, I can only see folders with music content. Beautiful. There's no dead "Upper Folder" icon initially. But unfortunately it does not last: once I go one level down and then return back up to the top level, the original problems return immediately. The dead "Upper Folder" icon reappears. "Return" button can no longer return me to the player menu. And, again, all shared folders (video and music) now appear on top level simultaneously.
Is there a way to fix this issue somehow?
