Hello!
Looking for something similar through 35 pages resulted in nothing. These guys are lucky having troubles with MKV playback, unrecognized formats, stuttering etc.
I am using Serviio Pro 1.2.1. My little problem is - I can see no MKV files on my TV. Added different videos to the shared folder. Switched, checked all possible options in the Serviio console. Device profile is Samsung TV / Player (C/D/E-series). No result. I still can see no MKV files in the list. AVI files are showed OK. MKVs are ignored.
The AllShare software works fine: shows and plays back both AVIs and MKVs. But I'd like to quit using it as soon as possible.
Ran out of ideas. Please help.

Can you see them in MediaBrowser and/or VLC?

If you mean under 'VLC' - a VLC Player installed on PC - its browser displays both AVI and MKV files. The MKV movie plays back in a normal way (on PC).
What MediaBrowser is - I am not sure. If its test is needed - please let me know and tell me the way.

Mediabrowser comes with Serviio Pro (or 15 day evaluation period). See

Managed to set up the MediaBrowser. The welcome screen's left menu contains only Audio and Image categories. Nothing related to Video, although a certain local media library is set up in the Serviio console. The folder currently contains multiple AVI files, but MediaBrowser displays no one of them. Using Google Chrome browser.

Is Video category enabled? Check the Presentation tab in the console.

Just have enabled the Video category, but now cannot sign in to MediaBrowser, as it does not accept my password! Moreover, I cannot change the password in the console, since every field is inactive! Sorry for possibly stupid behavior, but I need your help here too.

Mediabrowser is only available in Pro version (or original 15 day evaluation). Your evaluation period must be up if everything is greyed out.
Can you now see your files on the TV?

You are right, my version is Pro, and the evaluation period must be up. I did not purchase anything. Anyway, MediaBrowser does not accept the password I set up in the console, and the console does not let me change the password.
As for the TV - no, it still displays AVI files in the list, but no MKV files.
Do I have to remove the Pro version and install a free one?

This looks like you are not using the right profile. Can you post
detailed log of browsing to the mkv file?

After starting the DEBUG mode, I turned on the TV and could not see any MKV file in the list. Please, find attached a
detailed log.

In the log, it shows only browsing tothe Video category. Did you actually go to Folders category to try to find the files?

Here is the news. I have enabled the Folder subcategory and the MKV file finally showed up in the TV's list! Before that, Video category was enabled, and the Movies subcategory was switched to "Content only" mode. The rest was disabled. Now I can figure out I had to pay more attention to the Folders subcategory.
Gentlemen, thank you all for the support!

The files only appear in Movies category when the metadata can be found. So it's possible your files have not been matched to what is on themoviedb.org. Folders category will display all the file you have in the hierarchy as they are on your drive.
