Samsung UE46C6500UW unsupported file format.

What the title says. Is this issues caused by lack of codecs from my TV or is it software(serviio) related? When i try to play .mkv files some play fine others i get the "unsupported file format" error. Can anyone help me in bypassing this problem? Thank you.

The TV doesn't like the way the file has been encoded.

some plays ok some not cos extension mkv doesn't guaratee supported codec by tv
similar story is with other containers (like avi for example)

Yeah i thought as much. I update the firmware on the TV every-time hoping they will add new codecs but unfortunately thats never the case. Guess i have to convert or re-encode them somehow. Thnx for the answers
