Serviio

I read that it takes several hours for meta data to be updated. I have waited 24 hours. I unchecked the option to have it look online for the meta data, waited for my files to be indexed, then checked the option back on and waited 24 hours. When I go to the folders for "genre" or "actors" on my tv, there is nothing there, leading me to believe that it has not read the meta data that is in my files (I used Windows Media Player to add the meta data. Can serviio read this info?) and also failed to download the information online. How do I get this functionality to work?

I have a Samsung C Series 550.

Serviio doesn't read ant embedded descriptive metadata from video files. It gets them from the web. To do that, you have to enable it per shared folder (there is a checkbox) and on the Metadata tab (should be on by default).

Once you do that, you might have to click the Refresh video metadata button on Metadata tab to reindex videos using the new config.

I did have that box checked. I will try re-indexing it then. Thanks.
