Sound Query On a Samsung

Heya

I'm using Serviio on a synology NAS connected to a Samsung UE46F5500 - everything works as expected - it's just the sound mode. Say I watch an .mkv with a DD Soundtrack (only soundtrack in that mkv container) i have to change the TV Sound to output Dolby Digital rather than PCM through it's SPDIF channel. If i watch another .mkv with Dolby Digital from then on it'll default to dolby digital mode - which is fine. However, if i now play a .mkv with a DTS soundtrack, then TV will go back to outputting PCM through the digial output - i have to go into the menu and change it to DTS manually.

Is there any way I can set the TV to output the "Best" quality sound in a given .mkv file?

Cheers
Rich

anyone..? i'm quite happy to do some experimenting in the profiles.xml under the samsung profile...but just need a few pointers on which sections i should look at / concentrate on under the "Samsung TV / player (C/D/E/F-series)" bit (that's if anyone thinks i'd be able to fix the issue by tweaking the profile)

NOrmally there is no transcoding happening for the Samsung devices, so the file is delivered as-is. This looks like the TV remembers your favourite / last used setting and uses it for all your files subsequently as the default setting. If this is the case it's not in the realm of Serviio to change this.
