Can't fast forward or rewind MKV

I just reinstalled Serviio after a disk crash.
Earlier (Serviio 1.1) I was able to time seek, fast forward and rewind all my MKV files from my TV. Also if I stopped a movie, next time I started it, the TV would offer the choise of starting the movie again where I left it.
No such choice now...

It's the same mkv-files. Only difference is that I now run Serviio 1.3 and I built ffmpeg from source. Is there a lib/service in ffmpeg that I might be missing?

I run a head-less Debian (Wheezy) server and use my Samsung 6-series TV to play the videos. PHPWebUI

Old installation (when everything worked):
Serviio 1.1
ffmpeg available from Debian package (I think)

New installation (FF/RW not working):
Serviio 1.3.1 (all default settings)
ffmpeg built from source (because I couldn't get the prebuilt package to work)
This is the howto I used to build ffmpeg: Ubuntu Compilation Guide

Make sure you are still using the right profile. If it still doesn't help, try to disable transcoding.

Hi!

Yes it's the correct profile: "Samsung TV / player (C/D/E/F-series)"
Whats the easiest way to disable transcoding? Editing the profiles.xml-file?

Thanks! That was much easier than editing the profiles-file. :-)

I tried disabling transcoding but then nothing worked. The TV says it not supporting that file type. Still the correct profile...
I've noticed that Samsung's Allshare show a different mime-type than Serviio does. Could this be a problem? Everything workes fine from Allshare. :?

Now it works! Like magic! :-)

And now the mime type matches Allshare's...
Yesterday when I tried it and failed I think the mime type was: video/matroska
Now when I try it, it is: video/x-mkv

Beats me...
When I tried it this morning (to remind me of the exact mime types) the TV didn't find the mediaserver even though it was running. So I restarted it.
After restart everything worked as expected.
Don't you just love it when a problem just solves itself? (He said ironically) ;-)
