So guys, this is what i did.

I disabled my transcoding thinking maybe my SAMSUNG TV (UA40D6000) doesent need it.

So after my pc restarted installing windows updates, it doesent play MKV files anymore

I can run mkv on my pc and even tried using windows media player to play the .mkv file on my tv which didnt work either.

Now im lost and confused

Probably your IP has changed and you lost the profile selection. Select the Samsung profile.
