Samsung D5000 - few seconds silence about once an hour

I have serviio installed on a little Atom D510 rig. It's cable connected to my TV through the router box. I don't stream huge files, for a movie I choose up to about 1.5 Gig versions. All goes well, no stutters or artifacts. Except one: about once every hour minutes there's a second of silence. It doesn't matter what I am watching, and I am sure it's not in the content, because if I repeat the same sequence I do hear sound. I don't know the exact timing of the silence, but I suspect it's after more than 58 minutes (I barely ever get them when I watch a documentary, but almost every movie is affected).
Any clue what might cause this and how to fix it?
Thanks in advance!

Hi If you are running Windows 7 (8?) then the problem is a Window process that runs from time to time and interrupts control of the sound process. I think ticking both boxes under 'Exclusive Controls' in the 'Advanced' Option' of the speaker properties helps but does not solve the problem. When I first had the problem I saw the Windows process hogging the cpu, did a bit of R&D and found an article that said Microsoft had rewritten (for Windows 7) the sound process and that it was a general problem. I still have the problem. I am in the process of switching to Linux. Have 'task manager' running and see which process it is. I can't remember which it was anymore.

Thanks for your input... however, I am using *cough cough* Windows XP. I have the feeling my last reinstall kinda solved the issue. Not sure, I usually stay under the 1 hour tv time.
