External subtitles to Samsung TV with DLNA?

Hello everyone, is there any way to play external subtitles with Serviio over DLNA to Samsung TV (2014 model: UE40H6400)?

So far, I have only been able to play subtitles embedded in the mkv file - these display perfectly. However, when I am trying to use external subtitles, I am not able to play the mkv at all and "This file type is not currently supported" message is shown. This happens to me not only with Serviio, but also with DLNA servers of other players on the market.

Thanks a lot for your responses.

Yes, it's supported. make sure you don't enable burned-in subtitles in the console, nor the Embedded subtitles option. The just follow this for files naming: http://serviio.org/index.php?option=com ... icle&id=33
