Serviio does not find all files?

Hy there,

I am a new user of this nice program and think, this is the nicest software for dlna arround!
But I have a litle problem..
I use it for my SAMSUNG LE40B750 and my BlueRay System C5500. The setup was no problem, I can see my Notebook on both systems, but when I browse in the folders, I can not see all the content. I can see only 2 of the 8 *.vob files of the film in the folder, there are 8 vob files but I can see only 2 of them on both systems!
It seems, that SERVIIO does not recognize all files.
How could this happen?

Thank you for the support!
I am sorry for my bad englisch, but I hope you understand what I mean?

Regards from germany!

Martin

Re: Serviio does not find all files?

Just to be clear you tv is LE40B750 and not LE40C750?

now to your actual problem.

How long have you waited before testing on your TV? It can take up to 24hours to populate large librarys.

Re: Serviio does not find all files?

No, it is the 40B750 and the BlueRay Player HT-C5500. I am very happy with this combination, but the DLNA.... :-(

I did not wait a very long time, but the partition with my movies is not big, I have only 5 Movies stored on it. And a lot of MP3, but the MP3 files are found all very fast.
Is it neccessary to keep the serviio console runnig for scanning for all files? Or is it enough to start the service?

Thank you!

Re: Serviio does not find all files?

just the service but the library includes all of your files mp3 and movies so you may find if you give it time they will appear after the library is full built :)

Re: Serviio does not find all files?

I checked the log-file, but something seems to be wrong:

These are only the last two entries of the log, but all this is repeating all the time. so my log file is about 6mb since 24hrs now...
I don´t know what these entries mean...

Re: Serviio does not find all files?

post the whole log. there is either something blocking needed port or you're not binding the server to the proper address

Re: Serviio does not find all files?

OK, this is the new, actual log, serviio created today as I startet the service... as you see, the service was running just a few minutes and the log is going already really big! ;-)

hope, you can see something.... btw, i did not configured my router until now. maybe this is the fault. which port do I have to open for serviio?

thanks again for the big support!

here is the new log:

Re: Serviio does not find all files?

Is 192.168.1.2 the IP address of the PC? If yes port UDP 1900 is already taken on that PC by another application. Do you have any other UPnP software running?

Re: Serviio does not find all files?

Yes, 192.168.1.2 is my PC, and I also have another UPNP device running; my fritz.box router is also using UPNP. But in the moment I don´t know the actual port of it.
In between I checked some things... I deleted the renderer profile in the console, restartet everything, but the error message in the log still occurs!
there is also no binding adress configured...

Re: Serviio does not find all files?

No binding address is needed as it already picks the proper one. The local UDP 1900 port is the problem and it'll cause the server to not be visible on your device. Try to stop the other UPnP service(s).

Re: Serviio does not find all files?

Hi There!

thanks again for your support!
I stopped the other UPNP Service now. But the problem still exists! Dont know why, but in the log is a entry that the adress is already in use...
But, btw, the problem was not, that serviio does not find my devices! This is working well and I can see my folders on the TV and the BlueRay System.
The problem is, that the Service is not sharing all files! I have a folder with a movie contains 4 *vob files, but on my TV are only 2 of them!
That was the problem in the beginning. But maybe it is the same problem like the bad log entries?
