Re: no subs
Obvious question, but have to ask: the movie file and srt file are named identically, right? And you have subtitles enabled in the Serviio console?
Like I said, just the simple questions that have to be asked first, just to be sure.

Re: no subs
Yes, the files are namned the same and are in the same folder. As I said before, everything works fine on my old Samsung television but now it does not work with the text. I have tested all profiles for Samsung, find no profile for my (UE48J5515AK). Has completely run out of ideas here and therefore I thought seek an answer here.
Re: no subs
Hello,
I have the same problem. On Samsung UE22F5400 (two years old model running Android - 2013) subtitles operate without problems. On the new Samsung television UE32J5672 (OS Tizen - 2015) only work subtitles in the mkv. Subtitles srt, sub, etc. are not working. I tried play movies via USB and all format subtitles function. I suppose the problem on the route from Serviio. Please add support for new models of Samsung.
Thanks

Re: no subs
Same issue. My TV is a ua55j6200awxxy ... im using the profile Samsung H Series which i think it would be the closest to J series.
Will try to update my TV software and also enable burned-in subs... if it works, ill post it here .

Re: no subs
Hi ,
I have the same problem with my J series Samsung (UE40J6300). The TV recognizes all my video files, including MKV, but would not load subtitles. Since there is no J profile in Serviio I have used the one for the H series. Anyone found a solution to this yet?

Same problem. J5500 2015 running Tizen
Re: no subs
Same problem on samsung UE43J5500. I think that samsung J-Series need a profile or something. Anybody knows how to fix it?
Re: no subs
Same problem UE48JS8500. No subs. I am using BubbleUPnP to get subtitles on TV.
Re: no subs
Same problem too on UE55JS9000
Re: no subs
Same problem here. External subtitles won´t load on the 2015 model. Tested on avi, mkv, mp4 video files with srt subtitles. Names of the files are identical.
I used serviio 1.4.0 with Samsung UE32EH5300, samsung E/F series profile. It worked like a charm. I replaced the TV with Samsung UE48J6272 model, updated serviio to 1.5.2 version which lacks J profile, so I set up H profile, but subtitles won't load. So I guess it's a 2015 J series problem. Please fix servio asap, i love the app, used it for many years and I want to keep on using it. Thank you

Re: no subs
Has every single Serviio profile been tried with the J-series?

Re: no subs
Should I upload here some log-file from playing movie with external .srt(.sub) subtitles, maybe someone from Serviio staff should find out problem with subtitles on J series...
