Hey guys, I can't get bookmarks to work with version 0.5.2 on my BD-C6900. Can you share your experiences with bookmarks on the series?
I noticed zip closed the last samsung c series thread after 0.5.2 was released, but I've only used this version, and I've never gotten bookmarks to work.
Please help! Thanks

Bookmarks work perfectly on the samsung tvs and BDP but as zip said you must select the correct profile in console." Samsung C series Profile " if you have juts upgraded you could always try removing all renders from the console and restarting serviio ( server and console ) and let them redetect as with 0.5 i know we had an issue were BDP was not detected correctly.
i did the testing of this myself and i have it working on both my sammy TV and my BDP..

Thanks for the response. yes, serviio automatically assigned my bd-c6900 to the profile "Samsung TV/Player C/D series." I'm running the latest firmware on the player too. Everything seems right. I just can't get bookmarking to work for any video. BTW, I'm a new user, so I've only used 0.5.2.
How do you remove the renders from the console?

didn't think it was needed.

Does bookmarking work for you with the Samsung's server?

ah see thats not the latest firmware then as 1020.1 is the latest firmware for you device

this is why it IS needed. please upgarde your firmware and try again..

Just tried it. No, it doesn't work on pc share manager either. One of the reasons I switched to Serviio.

cerberus, I just ran an update scan and was told I had the latest firmware. I just checked the website too where 1019.0 is the last available download.
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/suppo ... e=BD-C6900Are you sure 1020.1 is for the bd-c6900 player?

Serviio can only mimick what Samsung's SW does - they know all the details of how to implement it. If it doesn't work with their SW then it won't work with anything else.
Now, I'm not sure if it's your player type or firmware that's causing this. You could try asking Samsung what is the solution to your problem.

ah you have a US player do you ? i cant confirm what will work on them as i dont have one but as ZIP just said your best bet is to ask samsung if the function is availible on your device as if it not then serviio cant give you it.
EDIT: ok i did some diggiong cause im nice liek that apparently there has been alot of people having issues with RESUME functions on this player it is a known issue ( SAMSUNG ) but the chance of them fixing this is slim.
so to recap this is an issue with the player itself and NOT serviio

thanks for the info and for the extra research!

. I hope Samsung resolves the issue in the next firmware update. So... there's nothing you guys can do?
BTW, Serviio is way better than pc share manager. As soon as I can get this working right, I'll be making a donation. Thanks again!

nope nothing they can do till they fix it, donations are always good they allow ZIP and his team to make serviio better.

I have a Canadian American BD-C5500 with the latest firmware and I can testify that I could not get RESUME to work on it either. The only explanation that I have is that the RESUME option is disabled for North American models - what the rationale is for doing this I don't know. Interesting that the firmware is also 1020.1.

Can you confirm it's not available to you with the Samsung's software either?

--- UPDATE TO TOPIC ----
This is a known issue with the US/Canadian player they have had their RESUME function turned off by Samsung as it did not work, there is no fix for this from samsung and from looks of it there wont ever be.
I have requested this topic be lock for future reference, but continued decussion on it will not gain us anything sadly, if at any time i hear word from samsung that this has been fixed and a new firmware issued i will update this thread.
