First of all, thank you for this great app.

I would like to know how to make the subtitles appear in my UE46d8000. I have gone throught the topics reporting problems with the subtitles, I have of course renamed the srt file to match with the avi/mkv files, and selected the Samsung TV / Player (C/D) profile...

Using PC Share Manager or WMS the subtitles do not display either.

Through USB the subtitles are displayed without any problem.

I am sure I am doing something wrong but cannot identify what.

Thank you!

Press TOOLS button on the remote and then go to subtitles menu and check they are on, if you cant see the subtitles menu that would suggest that there is a mistake in the name of the SRT file ( they must exactly match )

EG.

CSI.MIAMI.Season1.ep2.AVI
CSI.MIAMI.Season1.ep2.srt

Also the TV doesn't like some srt files - they have incorrect sequence of bytes at the beginning. Does this happen with a particular file or you cannot see subs for any movie?

I cannot see it for any movie. I have checked the name of the srt files, and they are OK.
When pressing Tools on the control remote, the subtitles part is desactivated.

That's weird. Basically you'll have to make it work with Samsung's server, that's the reference implementation for the TV. If it doesn't work I'd contact Samsung to see what they have to say about that. Make sure you have the latest Samsung server for your TV.
