Strange thing - tried every possibility mentioned in various posts - but images and music don't show up on the tv ...

Any logs you would need to have a chance to find why?

ah - and yes - the profile is set to samsung c/d and the categories are set correct.

Best Regards

Markus

are you looking in the right section exmaple:

Audio - for music ( you will only see audio in this section )
Pictures - for well pictures ( you will only see images in this section )
Video - for video ( you will only see videos in this section )

Remember that is the TV menu sections rather than folders you may have call the same names :)

Have you tried any other DLNA render? I use XBMC on my laptop and I will use that alot of the times to verify a file is being streamed, since XBMC seems to be one of the best DLNA clients around.

Hm - I'm not o friend of XBMC - as I'm using Team-Mediaportal for my collections (this is like Apple and Windows - but I'm not not sure which side I'
m on*gg*) - well - and this version doesn't do any DlnA for now. But I don't want to look in another software as the features I have found so for in Serviio are sort of cool and the result is excelent - except the Pics - but I look deeper in this - could be of course depending on the numer pf Pics.

I was thinking the at least teh folderstructure should show up partially during the lib is created.

Of course. I understand you have a "C" modell - not sure if there was a chage in the Way Samsung is handling this - but basically you have no got "Widgets" which lead to teh the content plus one general showing you all "AllShare" content. But - only teh "Video" is having content (for now at least)

u get to serviio by pressing the MEDIA P button (cant find a photo of the remote to show u exactly were it is) on your remote, it has nothing to do with ALL SHARE ( samsungs own system ) or widgets.

Ahm - Cerberus - it's a D series (as written already) - not a C one. To make it easier I post some pictures - but I think the handling is completet different than in your unit ...

You see the remote and teh Smart Hub Screen wheer the Widgets are located. No "Media" Buttons anymore. You can access the content directly over teh widget or over the Allshare where you can switch between the contenttypes.

I only use Serviio to stream my movies.

I am talking about a render not a replacement DLNA server to replace serviio. If you run a DLNA render(client) on your computer you can ensure that the file is recognized and being streamed by Serviio.

Did you try this? Especially AV MediaController?

Currently doing it - I did a completet uninstall and try to track down where it fails. What I see for now that when adding a Picture or Musik Folder (mapped over local share) serviio doesn't do anything. When adding a Videfolder it starts up immediatly.

when added the first Videopath - bing - it starts - but only the Video.

I'm now running the import again - but I's going to take some time to finsih.

Does the user running serviio service have access to the Photos and Musik folders?

Yep - it does. Well - it should as it' a share and no Networkmapping. The way I have used before (mapping to the network as Networkpath) I needed to set the serviio Account to the one with Accessrights (as written in your FAQ). I need to wait to see if it realy has now (with the new installation) has access too as the Z Shares are on the same NAS.

Question: Is it possible to give the Lubrary for each Folder a different Account / Password to log on? Or is this the service only needeing to parse through the directories given in the console?

You have to set up your NAS / shared folders with access to the user that runs the service.

Mhm - something learned again - Local system account is not equal Local User - and according to MSDN you can't change it simply ... OK. So I changed it again back to the user with proper rights to run the serviio service and have restarted it.

So - for what ever reason it didn't crawl the Networkshares again ...

Was just a quickshot before I left home - but all local ones are there (so teh ones it has seen with the local system Account) but the NAS ones were missing. If I didn't made a typo - is it possible that the service doens't look after Shares it ones tried to check und didn't gain access? Probably not - will try again in the evening.

So ...

It seems as if you have one time used a path not accessible you have no way to force to rescan it (a least eboot and even force rescan doesn't change this). When using a complete different path it's working again.

But now it's working - so THX
