subtitles with different character set

I searched the forum with no luck. My Samsung C5100 has problems in displaying specific character set (eastern europe, latin1). That's not a bug on Serviio; it's a firmware limitation. Is there any way to change subtitles character set then serving a Samsung TV? Or even a way force trans-coding and include subtitles in image?

Sorry if I post in an inappropriate place, I'm a newbie here.

Re: subtitles with different character set

Try to save the srt using UTF-8 encoding in a text editor.

Re: subtitles with different character set

When I convert to UTF-8 I see in text editor the same "scrambled" characters like on TV :(
I send you the srt file to take a look.
