[SOLVED] Another Samsung C-550 MKV SNAFU

Petr, you mentioned this might have been transcoded with handbrake which produces issues. I'll check with the person that made this file. In the meantime, it actually seems the "too many streams" could be due to the amount of languages present so I'll try stripping those and testing it against another ffmpeg binary. I've never seen that message w/ ffmpeg before, and this is the one compiled for Serviio on OS X as one can see from the gcc build. Will experiment.

Posted here in case anyone else has this issue. I'm pretty sure this will work, I'll just have to figure out how to strip those from the container which shouldn't be too hard. Thanks for advising I check the info from the binary actually doing the work for useful info!!

Update: So this causes the file to show up in the directories finally, however it protests "Not Supported File Format". That will probably be fixed in the Samsung C-series profile somehow? Here's the updated ffmpeg -i for the file stripped of all except 1 language subtitle with mkvmerge

Second Update:"Not Supported File Format" came from when I reset the profile to a generic dlna one in order to test other variables earlier. So really all I needed to do was as I figured at first. I don't know what the stream limit is, but I only needed one so making the file monolingual fixed this. This is a problem that will only be fixed by replacing the ffmpeg binary with one that doesn't have this limitation. I'll probably do that later if I encounter this again, but so far most of my content isn't in 20 languages so it's an issue I can remedy manually still when it comes up. Solution found, or at least problem worked around so far, so I'm marking this as solved and just documented this as I went in case it helps anyone else.
